In March and April 2012, Kyiv City State Administration and Educational Initiatives fund hosted a “StrategY” contest for talented young people aged 16-21. The competition consisted of three categories: Electronic City, Green City and Hospitable City.
Participants submitted a total of 88 applications, offering their ideas for citywide projects that would make Kiev more modern, environmentally friendly and attractive to the tourists. 15 teams (five in each category) qualified for final round.
Miratech sponsored all three categories, providing the prizes for all the contest finalists. Naturally, Electronic City nomination received the most attention from the company: each of the five finalist teams were additionally awarded with external hard drives.
Finals were filmed at Savik Shuster Studio on April 5. Show host was Lily Anishchenko. At the end of show, Alexey Perekatov (Vice President, Corporate Marketing) welcomed all the winners and awarded them prizes from Miratech. Commenting on the most technological nomination Electronic City, he said that "Miratech supports the young talents in their projects, and every time we are very pleased to see so many creative young people who desire to pursue an IT career. We hope that after graduation, contest participants will join our friendly IT community. So we wish everyone a continued success in studies and look forward to see you all as professionals!"
